Ol Dirty Shimmy Ya Shimmy Yea!

So this Cray-Z, Michael K. Williams, the actor who playes Omar Little on The Wire, has agreed and signed to portray Ol' Dirty Bastard in a film about the final years of the late Wu-Tang Clan rapper entitled, "Dirty White Boy". Which will be directed by Joaquin Baca-Asay, who previously served as the cinematographer for We Own the Night and Roger Dodger and made the video for Jay-Z's hit "99 Problems."

The story will focus on the friendship between the Wu-Tang emcee and Jarred Weisfeld, a 22-year-old production assistant at VH1 who talked his way into becoming his manager while the rapper served a three-year jail term in the early 2000s. The Weisfeld role has not yet been cast.

In Support of the Amy Winehouse Foundation

It’s almost nearly 8 months since the passing of the wonderful singer-songwriter Amy Jade Winehouse. Amy has had a successful career in her active years and had many occupations and musical talents, from singing to playing instruments. Since Amy’s passing her friends and family thought of way she can still have an impact on people lives by starting the Amy Winehouse Foundation. The Foundation was founded on September 14, 2011, which would have been Amy’s 28 Birthday. The event was set to help and support a charitable foundation that goes to help young people in the UK with ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction.

The Foundation is also setup to where anyone could set and plan an event with the Amy Winehouse Foundation. They will also help and support to organize an event and setting with them. One of the many ways to help support the foundation is through fundraising page, but before submissions are made you must register the event the foundation first. You simply just have to fill-out and online sponsor form, and then you’ll also have the ability to use the Amy Winehouse Foundation logo for promotions and help in aid of the foundation. The foundation clearly explains that when the support is giving to the foundation you will be act “in aid of” or ‘supporting’ the Amy Winehouse foundation. It is up to the fundraisers to take full responsibility for event use, collected funds, and chosen venue’s.

If any plans are planed and set to happen, you must take responsibility to get permission and permits from local authority. You don’t need licenses to sell food and have vendors, but you should make sure your vendors and staff prepare food the meets the standards of the Food Safety Act. Personally, I believe in this foundation to be great cause and can have a lot of potential to help much of the youth in the UK. I don’t see why the foundation wouldn’t grow enough to also help communities and youth centers here in the United States. Seeing as Amy Winehouse inspired many in the US with her brilliance and strong spirit that she has influenced and inspired.
