New Stepping-Stone for Electronic Music

Not many electronic music artists can say that they’ve been nominated 5 times in just one Grammy event. 23-year-old Sonny Moore, also known as Skrillex, has broken that barrier from the underground electronic music scene to mainstream popular success. Many say that the Grammy nominations were expected and unexpected, but without a doubt this was still a great moment for a dance artist to be nominated along with big name artist like Nicki Minaj and The Band Perry.  A legendary Los Angeles disc jockey of electronic music tweeted that Skrillex nomination for best new artist was a big and historic moment in electronic music. So far the young dance artist is stirring much talk and controversy and seems clear that the young artist will have much success in the music industry.

Skrillex will be highly respected in the music industry and he has not even touch base with the stepping-stone in his career. Much of his time dedicated to putting his music out at first was a struggle for Moore. He got signed to a record deal with Atlantic and was releasing out tracks that weren’t getting any attention from the label. Skrillex took it upon himself and released his first album out for free. He built his fan base from barely any help from the record label and still rose to success and got nominated for 5 Grammy’s. He spent his time composing, programming, writing, and mixing his own material. Now on tour, Skrillex is on the road as a DJ and performing remixes of his very own. Skrillex track count at this point in his career is massively impressive with a number of remixes, collaborations and free digital releases. Skrillex will be known for bringing the new highly crazed genre called dubstep. Many eyes and ears are leaning towards the new artist, producer, DJ and sound designer.
