Art | Basel | Miami Beach
In the upcoming event this December in Miami,
The Art Basel Miami exhibition will be held. This event is held every December
since 2002 to exhibit artist, art directors, and collectors from around the
world. This is a great event that is gradually growing throughout the years. In
2010, the event held an exhibition that held up to 40,000 people, and in 2011
the event held up to 50,000 people. So there is no telling how many people will
show up to this next event this coming up this year in December. The event will
likely be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center where lots of exhibitions are
held. Some of the festivals before where spread around Miami Design District
around greater Miami downtown, but this year it seems they will be holding the festivities
on Miami Beach’s Oceanfront.
This upcoming event will be a 4 days event
that will begin December 6 and end on December 9. This special exhibition will feature young galleries,
performance art, public art projects and video art. The Art Basel Miami show
will be a vital source for art lovers, allowing them to both discover new
developments in all art and experience rare museum artworks. The Art Basel Miami Beach event planners
are delighted to have Creative Time that is a legendary New York City based
public art organization. Also as a partner in the launching of this new
dimension of Art Basel Miami Beach, Los Angeles artist Pae White is commissioned
to design the central space for the event coming up as well. Past fans of the
event are anticipating for this upcoming event and tickets are on sale to
attend all four days or one of the scheduled days from the week. Even if you
are not that into the arts it is still great opportunity to interact and absorb
the culture from all around the world.

Andy Warhol Auction :Every positive value has its price in negative terms...
Andy Warhol auction is being held of the most prolific artists of the 20th
century, Andy Warhol’s estate is being sold from the Andy Warhol Foundation of
Visual Arts. The foundation was established in Pittsburg, PA, which is where
the artists grew up. The estate hold grand amount of work from Warhol’s career that
includes silk-screen
paintings, drawings, prints, collages, and photographs. It’s been 25 years from
the great artist passing and some find it odd that the foundation has come to
decide its going sell the artist works. Christie’s Auction house will most
likely hold the bidding auction, but is not currently holding registrations until
November.
Art Collector, Jose
Mugrabi has definitely made it difficult for competitors to bid on Warhol’s
work. He currently holds the most pieces from the Andy Warhol estate, owning up
to 800 Warhol’s. In 1988, he set the record at a Sotheby auction by purchasing twenty Marilyn’s from Warhol’s work for closed
price of Three Million Nine Hundred Sixty Thousand dollars. There is no doubt
that art enthusiast will attempt to get his hands on the estate from The Andy
Warhol Foundation of Visual Arts. He Recently put in a request to bid before
the auction were going up, but Christie’s Auction House and the Warhol Estate
denied Mugrabi from the offers. Just recently Mugrabi's son Alberto offered a deal to collect, but is prohibiting him and other dealers to buy the collection.
The Estates hold 20,000 works, which throughout the years has donated up to
4,000 pieces to museums and donated $250 million going towards cultural causes
around the world. It is definitely quite odd that the estate all of sudden has
the urge to auction and sell the Artists work, but in their words it was just
time for change. Now well just have to wait and see what will happen to the Pop
Icon Andy Warhol’s work.

Tour De Germany, hasta la vista baby.
Kraftwerk is a very great example of influence on why a lot music today has elements of Synthesizers, Drum Machine’s, and electronic sounds that are implemented into popular music. There upcoming was unexpected to the world until the international release of Autobahn release in 1974. This release is what got Kraftwerk known and recognized by Afrika Bambaataa, who in turn sampled kraftwerk which gave Hip Hop a new sound. The groups classical style of harmony with electronic instrumentation with the simple lyrics is considered them pioneers in the industry. The band formed by Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider in 1970, which went to show the group struggled to get recognized at first, and that lead the group to get recognized until the release of Autobahn.
Personally Kraftwerk is one of the greatest band’s of the 1970 because of the structure and creativity, it was unheard of at the time. I feel they aren’t recognized as popular as the Beatles, but I can honestly say they’ve made a great impacted just as big as the Beatles did. The group continued to release more great album’s such as Trans-Europe Express which didn’t do as well as Autobahn on the chart’s. The album still manages to be a great influence to even today’s great artist and past acts such as David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and more. According to Pitchfork media, Trans-Europe Express was listed at number six on their list of top 100 albums of the 1970s. Personally Kraftwerk is one of my influences ever since I heard afrika bambaataa Planet Rock I always wondered how can an individual even created such a sound. The day I found out those were samples I forever got into the habit of finding out Hip Hop Samples and that’s what brought to Producing Music.

The Theremin
Leon Theremin is Russian Soviet inventor of
French and German descent. Theremin became interested in electricity at an
early age by the age of 7, and by 13 he was experimenting with high frequency
circuits. Theremin is well known for one of inventions called, “The Theremin”.
The Theremin was the very first electronic instrument created. Leon gave homage
to the creation by naming his creation by his last name. Leon’s life was
electricity, because by the age of 17 he had his very own laboratory where he
would experiment with high frequency circuits, optics and magnetic fields. Leon
recalled that he had built a million-volt Tesla Coil and noticed a strong glow
associated with his attempts to ionize the air.
The outlook on what Leon was trying to accomplish was to use the resources of the actual universe. Leon’s device, “The Theremin”, was patented in 1928. The Theremin consisted of the position of the player's hands to control oscillators for frequency bands with one hand, and amplitude with the other without being touched. Vladimir Lenin, Leader of the Soviet Communist Party, ordered six hundred of the instruments for distribution and sent Leon on a trip around the world to demonstrate the latest Soviet technology and the invention of electronic music. Leon had much to express with his passion for inventing and using the universe at his advantage to create such invention like the Theremin Instrument. The fact he had the idea of even having thoughts of creating an invention that would ionize the air seems quite bizarre and intriguing even in our day in age. Today, Theremins are popular instruments among avant-garde and classical artists, and is occasionally used in jazz music as well. Also, there said to be a newer version of the Theremin created that reacts to movement, which was created for dancers.

as one of the greatest concerts in Hip-Hop. The onstage chemistry between the

the visual’s and spectacular light show that was part of the show as well,
which made the concert that much more exhilarating.
Box office score in total revenue have
made tremendous amounts in profit from the North American tour. Gross revenue
for the North American tour has been averaged at a total of 24.4 Million
dollars. It is too early to calculate the profits from the Europe tour dates,
but its quite clear that the rap sensations are the road to successful tour in
Europe.
In abundance, the tour has grossed $48.3
