Jay-z and Kanye confirmed that the, “Watch
The Throne Tour”, was scheduled for October 29th in Atlanta, GA. The
tour started out in North America and will be set to finish in Europe. The last
concert is set to finish in Birmingham, England. This past Saturday, Jay-z and
Kanye both performed in Paris and set the scene off well. They did a tribute to
Paris in honor of their hit single, "Ni**as in Paris”. The duo has started
every show to begin with the two emerging on two cube-shaped mini stages to the
operatic sounds of the hit single, “H.A.M”. The tour will definitely be stored
as one of the greatest concerts in Hip-Hop. The onstage chemistry between the
two artists has been stated as a high-energy show. A lot of hard work went into
the visual’s and spectacular light show that was part of the show as well,
which made the concert that much more exhilarating.
Box office score in total revenue have
made tremendous amounts in profit from the North American tour. Gross revenue
for the North American tour has been averaged at a total of 24.4 Million
dollars. It is too early to calculate the profits from the Europe tour dates,
but its quite clear that the rap sensations are the road to successful tour in
Europe.
In abundance, the tour has grossed $48.3
million so far by the end of 2011, which made it the highest grossing hip-hop
tour and the eighth highest grossing tour of 2011. Now that the tour is still
on going here in 2012, there is no doubt that Jay-z and Kanye will go out with
a bang for the concerts they have left ending on June 22 in Birmingham.
