Benjamin Zander: The Effect of a Classical Music

I watched and read on the video from TED website on Benjamin Zander who talks about untapped love for classical music that everyone is unaware of. Zander goes to explain that music has a way of making us remember enlighten and sad moments from listening to structured classical music. The experiments he performed were to show and test everyone untapped ability to feel and have a better understanding of how classical music can have an effect on all of us.

In the trial of Zander’s experiment, he talked about how he had effect a man in the audience from a previous event. He went on to explain that the person in the audience had a brother that past away and never wept for the passing of his death. Zander demonstrated the effect of a classical piece that influence the thought of a past friend or family member that was nearest to them. In the event of zander’s demonstration, the member in the audience felt the sorrow of the memory of his brother and wept at an instant. The Sound and structure of the piece of music was to show how much of an effect it could have on people.

I found the video to be very insightful and detrimental to my line of expertise.
Zander helped me realize new possibilities that tie into song and lyrics that are heart felt to the public. Not only just in the genre of classical music, but all genres of music. Certainly not tone-deaf, so I can include that I can also pick out what would be more effective to reaching out to people music just like the piece by Chopin.
